After first seeing him singing along (very well I might add!) to europop, here we are introduced properly to Tom Mercer, who shares his story, including the diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2006. With the usual symptoms including lack of energy, tiredness and aches and pains, Tom visited his doctor and, after collapsing at home, was rushed into A&E and put on a children’s ward where the diagnosis was made. Tom explains the reaction his family and friends had towards the news, stating how it came as a devastating blow to everyone.
