Katie talks of how her parents reacted to the news of her diagnosis and how she told her Mother over the phone whilst she was in the middle of a supermarket. Katie talks openly about her choice to stay hundreds of miles away from home to receive her treatment and tells of how grateful she is that her Mother made visits to see her by travelling on the overnight coach.
