Medical professionals from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)  spent a week in the UK learning about Teenage Cancer Trust’s service model for teenage and young adult cancer patients. UCLA plan to develop a Teenage and Young Adult service in California, and are calling on Teenage Cancer Trust’s expertise for insight into the development of services for this unique age group. It’s a jam packed week for the UCLA lot as they get to visit Teenage Cancer Trust units in London and Leeds, as well as the charity’s award winning units in Birmingham and Cardiff.
