Things haven’t been that straightforward for Shahn since she was diagnosed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukaemia). Shahn explains what “hiccups” happened during her first few years of cancer treatment ranging from spending days in intensive care, depression whilst on steroids and the toxicity damage Shahn experienced just days before starting maintenance. Things seem to be all well and good now as treatment is near to ending and the ever so supportive Cambridge lot are always there if Shahn needs someone to talk to, somewhere to visit. Most importantly Shahn goes on to say how her positive attitude helped her keep fighting through every single “hiccup” she had!
