Amanda – Chicago
Amanda was treated in a children’s hospital, despite her being 22 at the time. She felt she had to establish that she wanted to be treated like an adult. Amanda struggled with basic tasks after her treatment, such as showering, which she found difficult. She started taking each day as it came and tried to remain positive.
