Diagnosed nine months ago with Acute Lymblastic Leukaemia, we follow Marcus as he organises a charity gig with his band, Mexicofallz to raise not only money, but also awareness of the disease. As a way of saying thank you to everyone, with the help of family members and friends, he sets about raising money for the charities that have helped him along the way, including CLIC Sargent, Sue Ryder Care and The Teenage Cancer Trust. Marcus’s dad explains the importance of continuing with hobbies, if possible, to regain normality and talks about his own experience of having a child with cancer. Marcus talks about the shock of being diagnosed, however friends and family are at hand to praise him for the strength and maturity he has shown throughout his treatment.

  • i have so much respect for these guys, with everything not only marcus but his family have been through, i know how it feels to be in a simillar postion, when my grandad, who i am very close to was diagnosed,
i wish them as a band all the best of luck and hopefully great things will happen because they certainly deserve it…

  • I’ve known these guys for a few years now, had the pleasure of sharing the stage with them a few times as well. I lost my mum to cancer a year ago, after a 2 year battle. Being in a band, I know they’re like family, and to see your family going through cancer is the hardest thing in the world, but also makes you look at life differently. These guys are da nuts, and anyone who says different can lick my arse.

    See you tonight lads! x
