Here we meet a father and son duo that share their story and experiences of living with cancer. Diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma on the 23 December 2009, James describes the process of being treated and how much of a difference it made to be around teenagers he had a lot in common with. James’s father describes the impact the news had on the family and how difficult it was to adjust to the huge change in their lives. Explaining the dark moments the family experienced together, he talks about how they managed to stick together and focus on the light at the end of the tunnel in a bid to finally return to normality, with James’s positive and upbeat attitude helping everyone stay strong.

  • Love this film so much…takes me back to a time when my daughter Alice was first diagnosed. So many things James father said, I can relate to so much. You are so positive James and that is the ONLY way to be. Saying you wouldn’t change a thing about having cancer so reminds me of what Alice used to say. You teenagers who have to face this challenging journey are so very special because cancer gives you such insight..life is so precious so we should ALL enjoy every moment. Can’t wait for the next film!!
