The day of the walk has finally come and Team Peter are out in force, t shirts on, raring to go! With current world heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis present to set proceedings off, along with The Lord Mayor of Sheffield, it’s a high profile affair, not least forgetting Peter himself who has made quite a name for himself after all his hard work promoting the event. After setting himself a huge challenge, Peter is determined to reach that finish line, and with the support of his friends and family, as well as the determination to succeed, there’s nothing standing in his way as he powers on through. Even finding himself in a lot of pain as the walk nears an end, Peter still sees it to the end, greeted with a huge amount of support and raises over £500 for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

  • Well Peter triumphed again! I started off smiling as always at your quirky sense of humour, then I laughed at parts and then when you were coming back into the stadium I cried. Kim ran Race for Life there once, memories for me and I did’nt like to see you suffer like that Peter. I wanted to stop watching but I knew I had to see you complete your personal challenge and goal and congratulate you on your achievement and to be very thankful that YOU ARE A CANCER SURVIVOR who is here to do exceptional things in life. I salute you Sir! love always to you and Debs xxxxx

  • Great video Peter – put together really well. And well done again! Still amazes us you did it. Very proud. x
