Laura was 18 years old when she first started to notice her symptoms but mixed with usual university worries and the infamous ‘fresher flu’ Laura thought it was nothing to worry about and continued student life! The symptoms soon got unbearable so a trip to her GP came around which lead to various more hospital tests. Diagnosis day came – stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which Laura tells us of the information overload and her ABVD treatment began over Christmas 2010, even though Laura has since left university Laura sees her cancer as something that has happened for a reason and now, more than half way through her treatment Laura feels like a much happier person!
